  1. Of all the properties out there, rebooting Star Trek is the least problematic. The property already established multiple universes and timelines. Rebooting Kirk isn’t the same as a reboot of some other character arc.

  2. As the property circles the drain, I am sure they will try everything except what they need to do.

  3. Anson Mount as Captain Pike is strong and compelling enough that they could bring a Captain Kirk reboot into Strange New Worlds without the risk of things becoming all about Kirk.

  4. Why would they need to? There is enough time between Pike and Kirk without ever having to get to Kirk. Kirk has is own history. Maybe in the last episode…if it makes it that long?
