It differed so much from the source material that I found it unwatchable. Louie wasn’t on a self destructive binge, Lestat seemed much less cultured, and the seduction was supposed to be predatory, not sexual. It felt more like a teenage girl’s fan fiction than an adaptation of the Anne Rice novels.

Is this anything like the novels or should I just let it pass and read those again.

Didnt even know there was a season 1. Must be going well… 🙄
Huge fan of the books here, and thank god they didn’t try to tell the exact same story exactly the same way, that woulda been boooring.
There’s so much “what if..” room in the books, I am fine just enjoying this show as a variation of a theme and a good watch in it’s own right.
Imagine if every Batman movie told the exact same story, the exact same way…
This is a terrible adaption of the books. Such a wasted opportunity.
Fan of the book, not of the series
I didn’t even know there was a season one, lol.
Yeah. No thank you. It was more cringy than Leo dicaprio and his new teen gf
Just awful.
