  1. So now they are going to expand upon first Contact? Probably delve more into the life of zephyr and Cochran and his interaction with the Vulcans and the new Earth government? Interesting concept but I really have not been happy with how they have been retconning Star Trek. How about a new series exploring the gamma quadrant a generation after the end of the Dominion War? No time travel, no Mirror Universe, just good old-fashioned 20th century Star Trek

  2. It seems to me like a lot of people want to ignore the “rich universe” in favor of something we’ve seen before that was good enough the first time. They sort of ignore the vision sometimes in favor of energy. Star Trek is about people and ideas. It’s not a shoot-’em up. Good luck on the project. May you avoid some of the pitfalls of your predecessors.

  3. This is turning into the Batman and Spiderman of Star Trek. There’s a new origin story every few years.
Been there, done that. Move on already.

  4. Create a series where a Romulan is part of the crew after Romulus was destroyed so they learn about humanity. Anything other than rewriting established events. Keep moving forward.

  5. So.. we’ll get a TNG cameo?

Because wibbly wobbly, timey wimey stuff!

And most of the bits we care about have been covered by Enterprise. Expect perhaps the Romulan War!

  6. How about they try doing what Discovery did and focusing on the future of the future, rather than constantly going back to revisit times already shown on shows and in movies?

  7. Can someone please buy the Star Trek IP and refuse to ever allow it to be produced again? Like no new TV no new movies! It has been bastardized so badly these last several years!
