Man, there is really no reason for this, I don’t think they’re gonna pull it off past a pilot episode… there’s nothing really there except one guy with no threats. It’s not like George wrote beyond where that plot left off…
I’m still skeptical. At the end of the series, everything interesting about the land Beyond the Wall was gone. The White Walkers were destroyed, the Giants and Children of the Forest were extinct, the Wildlings fled to the lands South of the Wall. The whole point of Jon Snow’s character was that he was a “Fake Out” Chosen One.
The article was excited about the story exploring Jon’s Trauma. The thing is, everyone involved in Game of Thrones is kind of trying too hard to be Dark & Cynical. In the hands of that sort of people I can easily see an attempt at exploring trauma becoming all “Edge Lord”. I’m not sure the actor has the acting chops to pull of a nuanced exploration of trauma.
Rebuilding a Wilding Civilization could be amazing in the right hands, but the message of the franchise seems to be that “trying to change anything is doomed to failure and will just make things worse, so don’t try.”
Honestly, Arya exploring other continents has more potential.
You know nothin Jon Snooooooooow

Drogon should find him! The last living Targaryen!

I’d rather see Arya go explore what’s “west of westeros”
