  1. I don’t know what it is about the DC universe that does not translate to the big screen as well as Marvel’s universe does. From Green Lantern to Aquaman to this mess (I mean, just looking at the costuming says, “Stay away.”), DC has primarily failed to transition 2D comics to the “real world.”

  2. On paper DC has some really cool superheroes/villains/heroes, I think its studio choice, director choice and script writer choices which has let them down!
Luckily Marvel keep on churning stuff out, not as prolific with the good stuff and have had some BAD misses along the way but us superhero fans can still get our fix I suppose.

  3. So was the new one. Basically all DC movie products. When they don’t stay true to try the characters in the comics it leads to problems. Look at Christopher reeves superman, true to the comics as far as the character. They just haven’t figured out how to produce a product that appeals to both children and adults.

  4. Marvel Comics movies have learned how to get the perfect blend of action and comedy while keeping it about the characters and storylines without making the special effects the focus of the scene. Marvel movies have spectacular special effects but they are merely part of the overall story and not the focus of it. DC movies (not including this failed one) make me feel like they had a special effect and wrote the script to give them an excuse to use it.

  5. When I look at this picture, it’s obvious to me that in this day and age of facial recognition software, those old-fashioned superhero masks just don’t cut it for protecting the wearer’s identity. Upload some security camera footage of any of them and two seconds later you have exactly who they are.
