So what? If someone thinks that, they are welcome to it. Everyone likes different things and some people WILL think this. Just have to deal with those who disagree with your views.
Both have the wimpiest heroes in movie history.
One spends the whole time crying and complaining and the other does nothing until most of his peers have died horribly and only reacts when he has no choice. But then easily defeats the opponent which he could have done at any time.
I’ve just never liked the idea that Harry Potter can only do magic if he’s waving a little magic wand. He’s supposed to be a wizard, not Sooty or Paul Daniels.
Ever wonder how short HP books would be if the adults just told Harry everything they know in the first place? After the first book the whole thing is tiresome.
My then 13-year-old grew to adore less HP when he got to know the hobbit and Lotr, and spotted many similarities between Rowlings and Tolkiens masterpieces.
Harry Potter bored me to tears. Didn’t make it past the first hour of the first movie. Didn’t bother with any other movies. No regrets missing them either.
I’ve read Harry Potter a bunch of times, on contrary to LotR (sorry, I’m taking my time… Or what’s left of it due to work). Nevertheless, I cannot stress enough about all the flaws and bad things that HP and it’s construction has; yes, it is a pretty good saga for young children, and it must be treated as such, but it will never be more than basic fantasy nor it will be as complete as any other sagas (I strongly consider that the fans do more for the saga than JK Rowling herself…)
Sorry for my personal opinion
A true fan of Tolkien would never use caps lock. Theyâd write a long story about how youâre wrong then release an even more boring book about how they came to their conclusion.
Harry isn’t a wizard, he doesn’t smoke or have a beard.
At least The Potter books/movies can’t be summed up in 4 words. “Walking, talking, fighting then repeat”
‘Keyboard warrior mode enabled ‘
Then not me…I couldn’t care any less if I tried đ¤ˇââď¸
Lord of the rings far better
Hey !! We donât have to choose !!!
Tolkien’s ideas had originality whereas Rowling’s didn’t.
âCloses loaded double barrelâ âFly you fools!â
I meanâŚ..it is better.
I had a friend once told me he couldn’t take Lord of the rings seriously cuz of the orcs but Harry Potter made sense
IT’S TRUE
No Harry Potter just doesn’t make you fall asleep during the first chapter
So what? If someone thinks that, they are welcome to it. Everyone likes different things and some people WILL think this. Just have to deal with those who disagree with your views.
The thought of Harry Potter being considered better is horrifying.
Both are good!
Well, that’s where you’re wrong, kiddo.
Harry Potter has nothing to do with LOTR. It’s millennial Star Wars. You are just trying to stir up conflicts

All due respect to Rowling and her achievements, her plotting, world-building, and storytelling, are all inferior to Tolkien’s.
Most things are better than Tolkien’s work, I have never liked his work, just does not work for me
No way is better! Two very different films and books, read and seen the films ,the last two Potter films are very slow and boring đ´
I prefer Harry Potter, but that’s just my personal opinion. The books were a million times better than the films though.
Harry Potter is better than the Hobbit movies
What is LOTR?
well 2 each there own..i mean just cuz i like pepperoni sausage and bacon pizza..i’m not going to knock or change a anchovie pizza lovers mind ..
I’ve just never liked the idea that Harry Potter can only do magic if he’s waving a little magic wand. He’s supposed to be a wizard, not Sooty or Paul Daniels.
Both series are brilliant pieces of literature.
Ever wonder how short HP books would be if the adults just told Harry everything they know in the first place? After the first book the whole thing is tiresome.
I like both equally.
âŚI didnât enjoy the endless fight scenes in LOTRâsâŚso I would definitely choose HPâŚ
I can always pick up a Harry Potter book and enjoy it. Lotr feels like more of a task …
both movies are pretty weak.
Harry Potter is better than THE FIRST published version of LOTR. The second and corrected version, not so much.
And soda is ‘better’ than whiskey. No, it’s just sweeter, and easier on the palate.
A palate has to be trained to appreciate whiskey, and Tolkien.
If this offends you, the truth often offends.

Harry Potter is better then Lord of the rings
Potter movies were better than rings moviesâŚ. Due to the scouring of the shire being omitted.

I think one of those choices are children’s books.
They are both boring on an epic scale, never before experienced by humans until Avatar !
I love them both for what they each are

Lol Some of the stuff in Harry Potter is taken from lord of the rings and jk rowlings said as much.
