Jar Jar is great, best character ever? No. But he filled the comedy character roll Great and lets not forget at the end when the rewards were handed out he was given a Government job which speaks for itself on what Lucas was saying about the Government! In! Space! ((Space)) ((Space)) ((Space))
The character was meant for small children but grown adults are the ones who get triggered by him. “Star Wars was originally intended for 10 year olds”
– George Lucas
Everytime I rewatch Episode 1 I’m left confused as to why people hated Jar Jar so much. All I can really put together is SWE1 came out in the early days of the Internet forums and neckbeards had nothing better to do.
Watched the original 3 as a kid, took my kids to see the prequels AND never understood the hate, personally I found Jar Jar funny, charming and added some much needed levity to the darkness of the prequels. (Seeing them as an adult I found the themes of the prequels pretty dark subject matter)
But I liked jar jar
I liked Jar jar waaay more than the actors that played Anikan…
I really do believe Jar Jar Binks was a Sith apprentice.
Like most of the Prequel stuff, DisneyWars has pretty much redeemed Jar Jar.
No one deserves online hate, even jar jar
If they only knew he was meant to be a sith lord… 🤣🤣🤣
Also played Kelleran Beq, the Jedi who saves Grogu during Order 66.
I thought JarJar was the best thing about the prequels.

It is scary that so many have trouble separating actors from characters
We all knew he was black

Hate the character, not Ahmed. He did his Best.
darth jar jar vring him back
I never had a problem with JJB. How come people don’t say anything about C3PO or Luke complaining
I still hate Jar Jar but not Ahmed Best. The character was horrible not the actor.
I hate the character not the actor, that’s terrible to blame the actor for the dumb characters they invent at Disney.
Star Wars has the worst fans and the the best, people forget there’s a person behind these characters
I’ve been trying to forget it since 1999, I don’t need to be reminded.
Still a better actor and character than that tragic Rey disaster.
It was an awful character.

Well, sadly that was the last StarWars worth of watching
They should do a series post revenge of the sith about him. Could be the most irritating piece of media ever made.
Which is a thing of the past because of the hate piled on the sequel trilogy.
I actually love jar jar
I always love the posts that ask, “Name one thing you never say to a Star Wars fan”, and my answer is always:
“They are bringing Jar Jar back in the next movie”. 😁😁😁
Jar Jar is the main reason for prequel hate… He ruins every scene he is in
Nobody hates him. It’s the character. Ahit. I didn’t even know the character actor was at the time
We hated the character not the actor.
But he was so good at it!
Jar Jar was just annoying. Hating him is a little bit psycho.
Horrible movie, but not at bad as Attack of the Clones

He says it like it’s past tense
