Quentin Tarantino has expressed his horror over one particular Disney movie, citing its content and themes as unexpectedly dark and unsettling. The famed director’s critique highlights the surprising depth and complexity found in what is typically seen as children’s entertainment.
And for the record, I completely agree, and have said the same.

Meh.
I grew up eating game meat and learned at a young age where it comes from.
While it made me sad as a child that Bambi lost his mom this way, it certainly didn’t traumatize me. It’s just the way of the world.
Um no different than Fox & the Hound, Nemo or any Disney princess w/ an evil step mom 🤣🤦🏼♀️🙄 all these people are ridiculous
It takes a simple life lesson
Those moments from Bambi are why I site that as the movie that shaped my world view – “Man was in the forest” told me everything about our relationship with nature.

Bambi.
Now I want to see Disney make an animated version of Last House on the Left.
I’m still waiting for humanization of the hunter from Bambi.
I wonder what it could BEEEEEE.
Oh, Bambi.
Thank you sir.
It was horrifying because it didn’t have any ladies’ feet prominently displayed?
I thought as much. I can’t think of any “children’s” movie that would traumatize any child more than Bambi. It certainly traumatized me!
Bambi was the first movie I saw in theatres. I left in tears
Oddly, I thought he was referring to “The Hunchback of Notre Dame.”
Guessing he didn’t see old yellér
Just wait for the live action version !
Folks also mistakenly thought “Two Brothers” was for children, too.
I’m sorry, the pitch-perfect passive aggressive abuse in Tangled is wayyyyyyy worse.
It must take a lot to creep that creep.
TL/DR Bambi

Wasn’t a Disney movie…..but Watership Down was a thousand times more traumatic
„Watcher in the woods“ was not for the weak. Sleepless nights, as I recall
I bet it’s Bambi
I agree. Bambi affected me to point that at 78 I still wouldn’t rewatch it.
I’ve always been horrified by his face!
Fox and the Hound😥😥😥
He’s obviously never seen Watership Down. The original.
And we are all horrified of his movies.
That movie is so sad 😞
All you folks who were traumatized…it mite help to learn that deer can’t really talk.
Watership Down, that was traumatic and should never have been classed as a kids movie.
Dumbo was way worse for me than Bambi.
Watcher in the woods
It’s BAMBI .
This and The Land Before Time
Just 1?
It was Bambi vs Godzilla very traumatic movie!
Only one????
Watership Down FTW

Roald Dahl was the best at introducing darkness into kids tales 😈

Charlottes Web was traumatic for me re early ones. Still won’t watch it
I totally agree! I only watched the film once, never again! Same for Watership Down!
